Our 2020 Texas Takeover Campaign evolved to maximize Samsung’s underutilized Twitch channel. We hosted multiple Texas-focused competitions that exploded with over 175 million engagements.
It started with the three-week Lonestar Challenge following the Dallas Fuel and Houston Outlaws’ Overwatch eSports rivalry and then Texas-themed build challenges in Minecraft. Over 100 million players competed alongside 20 pro-gamers and influencers in Mystic Map Mayhem, 14 Days of Epic Fortnite events that unlocked a limited-edition Galaxy skin, revealed three customized Samsung maps and offered awesome prizes.
An Among Us activation blasted us, celebs and a Mystery Gamer to space for three days, and we presented the PubG Lonestar Collegiate Championship.
In total, we generated more than 200 million impressions and 200,000 hours watched on a Samsung owned channel.
